Recently voted by TimeOut Sydney as the best Cafe
of 2010, I decided to give FourAteFive a try. It is located in Surry
Hills, an area which i LOVE, so prepare for the bias review (just
kidding). They serve sandwiches and salads and snacks, so don’t come
here expecting real food (although the portions are big enough to fill
an empty stomach anyway). I ordered the poached chicken salad with beetroot and cottage cheese , because I am not a big fan of sandwiches (I know. hwhattt). A friend of mine, though, ordered the highly recommended pulled pork sandwich.

The chicken salad was very good, fresh, and it really didn’t feel like I was eating a salad. The chicken was plenty, and I love the sweetness of the beetroot with the slight bitterness of the arugula. It looks pretty too ;D
The pulled pork sandwich was …amaysin. I usually don’t like sandwiches, but a bite of this made me go O_O . The pork meat was really tender, and the sourdough was not too hard, nor too soft.

- Food: Really good for a light meal, after all it is a cafe
- Place: Very cozy, perfect for hanging out!
- Price: Reasonable. We paid about $15 for each meal, and left really full
- Overall: Overall, it’s a very good cafe, however, I wouldn’t recommend you go here solely for the food. Unless you’re a sandwich person. 3 out of 5.
